Exari create contract management software and enlisted BRM’s help to guide their project from the stay versus go decision through to fitout and handover.
When chatting to Justin Lipton, Chief Technology Officer, the passion for their logo became clear – colourful, geometric and symbolic with the hexagon shapes logically fitting together like Exari’s document management. But Justin was the first to admit the Exari office was looking completely out of shape.
Dark corridors. Rooms choked with storage. Cobbled together furniture.
BRM commenced bringing the components together with a property search and successful re-negotiation on the existing space, then launched a series of furniture and general clear-outs to reveal the original space.
The design and fitout requirements were balanced against a tight budget and picked up on the strong colours and shapes of the logo. Highlights were created with artwork and feature furniture whilst re-using existing furniture, sourcing second hand storage units and using the landlord refurbishments to refresh the carpet, ceiling tiles, access control and a complete re-paint. The fitout works upgraded the data, power and lighting together with branded glassboards and bespoke furniture. The project concluded with the hexagon feature wall installation which improved the acoustics and injected personality into the open plan workspace.
“We trusted the BRM team and were impressed with the outcome,” explains Justin. “The budget was met, works were handled afterhours and all the interactions with the landlord and trades went smoothly. We love the design and how the logo was introduced through the space in different ways. Our old space was quite dark and setup on a shoe-string, so BRM helped our offices reflect our sustained growth”.
BRM couldn’t resist the chance to capture the feature wall installation through time-lapse photography, which can be viewed below, and thanks to Craig from Contract Carpentry for agreeing to model during the installation!
