Having been a long-term Richmond tenant, Kids Under Cover were on the hunt for cost-effective accommodation that would allow them to stay within the Richmond zone, as well as secure a more professional appearance and opportunity for growth.
Fortunately there were a number of quality options on offer including the vacated Make-A-Wish Foundation premises which was offered fully fitted.
With BRM Projects understanding of workplace environments, fitout works and their associated costs, we worked together with Kids Under Cover to explore the landlord contribution and potential works together with creating a cultural, functional and branded experience - and it also didn't hurt that we delivered Make a Wish Foundation's original fitout ten years earlier, and still held all the plans.
The fully fitted option was a near walk-up start. The layout was 80% there, all workstations, pedestals and joinery in-tact and only needed minor fitout tweaks to be suitable.
With the premises and fitout squared away, we turned our focus to the cultural and emotional side of the project together with the relocation and existing premises handover.
Branding and communication to staff, clients and the high volume of passing traffic was important for Kids Under Cover. With the strategic use of paint, film graphics and framed posters and awards, we were able to cost-effectively brand the new space.
We are proud to have assisted, and it was a pleasure shaping the Kids Under Cover project. We wish them every success under their new roof.
